Are you sure it was played more than twice. If so, virtually no one discusses any of those "minor" performances.

Nothing "minor" about the performance of Hard to Handle on 12/28/69...

Pity. Some of them are pretty impressive.

Guess I should have gone with a Jodie Foster or Brooke Shields link...

Yah coulda fooled me...seriously, not to start up a flame war on PP, but H2H is now a defn "skip" for me...one more "Baaabeee" and I am gonna be sick. Perhaps it was listening to these two so many times to be sure I was "right" about 8-6, but other than these two, the tune doesn't do anything for me...it also universally bothers others I play it for (outside of "us", most nonDEAD types I know don't really go for Pig, at least in my experience). When I conducted my big "test" of which of these was better (User can explain if you really want to know, but he's sick and tired of it too...me and the test that is), one and all said "it'd be better if this was just a jam without vocals!

Ditto on a few points here...

My wife really hates HTH, a definite skip when she's around. It's headphones when I want to hear 4/29. I don't mind "baayy-be" so much but... (this might be heresy here) the interminable raps from Pig are real show-killers. When he says "Now wait a minute" or "all you need" I know it will be 20 minutes that I can skip, until the band revs up again.

You are not alone, I'm going to confess to this 'heresy' too. I don't have a problem with the short 'Blues' numbers, or Operator and Two Souls. But Lovelight on Live Dead probably only got played twice, and that was the LP that got me into the band. I've always felt guilty about this as the rest of the band clearly loved him and still do ('Was, is, and always will be ...').

OK, I'll admit it, those raps can at times be a little rough. Now while there a few ones that seem truly inspired, there are more (IMHO anyway) that seem too "forced" by Pig, especially in the later years...or year, depends on how you look at it. Kind of like he was doing it only because it was expected, not because he felt spontaneously overwhelmed by his muse to tell people to "get your hands out yo' pockets".

When this release was announced I thought most were hot-to-trot. A significant portion of this is Pig singing H2H and LL. What gives people? Your wife dislikes it? Drop the lipstick dude(kidding)!

Honestly, The Pig Rap is the most manly music the band ever produced. Completely non-PC and completely lovable.

The reviewer Phokus quoted the Pig himself:

Don't be programmin' it, baby! Let's just GET IT ON!

Rob loves Convoy...now this. What is this world coming to?
